Eligibility: Applicants must be Native American (continental US tribes)/ or Alaska Native. All applicants must be enrolled in their tribe.Applicants enrolled in federally recognized tribes must be one-quarter Indian blood or more. Applicants must be enrolled as full time students for both fall and spring semester.
Award Amount: Scholarships are in the amount of $1,500 each. Funds in the amount of $750 per semester are disbursed directly to the college pending satisfactory progress. Funds may be used to assist with childcare, transportation and basic living expenses in addition to educational costs. Description: The sponsor provides scholarships to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students (LGBT) to help meet the costs of higher education
Eligibility: Applicants must maintain a GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale; engage in a service project; and attend a college in the United States. Applicants need not be LGBT, but must have a demonstrated commitment to leadership within the LGBT community. All levels of education are eligible for funding.
Award Amount: The average scholarship award per scholar is $13,600. The awards cover tuition, books, supplies, room and board, transportation, and living expenses. Description: Graduating Seniors- this one is for you! The Fellowship Program is a year-long training program for young leaders that have completed, at minimum, their undergraduate degrees by the start of the program. Fellows are assigned to specific program areas and develop expertise with the direction of a Program Manager and the Academy Director. Although the curriculum is similar to that of the Associates program, Fellows are given more responsibility and independence to implement projects and programs. Fellows participate in leadership skills workshops, attend meetings with key stakeholders, and conduct site visits to community, government, and corporate entities. Fellows receive regular mentorship, professional and personal skill development and are given opportunities to interact with the media, write reports/press releases, fundraise, testify at policy hearings, and participate in key meetings with top government officials, corporate CEOs, and political leaders.
Eligibility: Applications are open to applicants who have completed, at minimum, their undergraduate degrees by the start of the program. Individuals from all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply; there are no preferred majors. Description: The American Indian College Fund Full Circle Scholarships are awarded to students attending non-tribal colleges. These scholarships are funded through our partnerships with corporate and private donors and are available to American Indian students attending mainstream universities who are pursuing undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees. The American Indian College Fund Full Circle Scholarships are administered by the American Indian College Fund and are generally based upon merit or demonstrated financial need.

Description: The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Undergraduate Scholarship Program (UGSP) offers competitive scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are committed to careers in biomedical, behavioral, and social science health-related research.
Eligibility: The NIH Undergraduate Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to students who show a commitment to pursuing careers in biomedical, behavioral, and social science health-related research. The following are the basic requirements: U.S. citizen, national, or qualified noncitizen. Enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a full-time student for the 2012-2013 academic year at an accredited, 4-year undergraduate institution. High school seniors are not eligible to apply. 3.5 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale) or within the top 5 percent of your class. From a disadvantaged background. The Denver Foundation and the Reisher Family Foundation have provided CSU with funding to support CSU students who meet specific eligibility criteria. The mission of the Reisher Scholars Program is to provide educational opportunities for promising and economically qualified Colorado students who have, and will make, a contribution to the community through service, leadership, work, or unique experience.

Since 1981 the Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF), a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit, public charity, has awarded scholarships to outstanding women from developing countries, who are completing degrees at US/Canadian universities and are committed to improving the wellbeing of women and children in developing countries.
Eligibility: Eligibility (criteria are also available on the MMMF website: www.mmmf-grants.org) She must: Have a record of service to women and children and a commitment to improve the lives of women and children in developing countries. Be enrolled (in residence) at an accredited U.S. or Canadian educational institution for the academic year 2010-2011, intend to be enrolled for the 2011-2012 academic year, and use the grant toward the completion of her degree. Be a national of a lower or middle income country, as designated by *MMMF Country Eligibility List. Not be a U.S. or Canadian citizen, permanent U.S. resident or Canadian Landed Immigrant. Intend to return to her country (or other developing country) within two years of receiving the MMMF grant. Demonstrate financial need. Be at least 25 years of age by December 31, 2010 (born before December 31, 1985). Not be related to a World Bank Group staff member or their spouse.
Award Amount: Individual MMMF Scholarships are between $12,000-$15,000 and must be used during the 2011-2012 academic year.

Description: The Helen M. McLoraine Scholarship Program for Foster Care and Emancipating Youth was created to provide educational scholarships for foster care youth who are emancipated or are in the process of preparing to emancipate from the foster care system in Colorado. Awards can be used toward part-time or full-time undergraduate study at any accredited U.S. post-secondary school (including trade, vocational, community college or four-year school).
Eligibility: Read the following carefully. Applicants must: ¦Have been in the foster care system in Colorado for a minimum of 24 months between the ages of 13 and 18 (months do not need to have been consecutive). Applicants who meet this requirement and are emancipated, were adopted at age 15 or older, or are participating in the Guardianship Assistance Program or Independent Living Arrangement are eligible to apply; and ¦Be age 23 or younger on August 15, 2012; and ¦Complete the Free Application For Student Aid (FAFSA) in 2012; and ¦Be planning to attend an accredited post-secondary school as an undergraduate in the U.S. for the 2012- 2013 academic year. Please note that individuals that are related to a member of the scholarship Selection Committee or a Denver Foundation staff or board member are not eligible to apply. Recipients will be selected based on academic achievement/potential, motivation, potential for success in their chosen program and fi eld, and fi nancial need.
Award Amount: Scholarships of varying amounts will be awarded once each year through a competitive process. Award amounts can be up to $10,000 per year based on the strength of the student application, educational plan, and unmet fi nancial need. Awards can be used for tuition, fees, and required books and supplies. Awards must be used for the 2012-2013 school year. An individual can receive a scholarship award from this fund for a maximum of three years.
